Closing Process for the Buyer

The actions required on the home buyer's side of the closing is typically done by the lending bank. If no bank is used, then the home buyer should enlist the services of a Real Estate Attorney.

As mentioned in the previous sections, a handful of items need to be addressed before getting to the actual Closing. This closing process, which is the period of time between the signing of the Purchase Agreement and Closing appointment may take anywhere from 30 to 90 days.

The Closing appointment involves transferring the title of the home from the home seller to the home buyer. In return the home seller receives the purchase price of their home. Your Mortgage Lender or Real Estate Attorney will handle most of the details at closing and can advise you on any special paperwork that needs to be completed between you and the home seller.
